With Art of Canada, we're bringing a new dimension to art, by associating it with automobiles and supercars. For our first project, we chose to personalize a Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series in the effigy of Lewis Hamilton, iconic driver of the Gilles Villeneuve circuit.
We took advantage of the Canadian Grand Prix, which took place from June 17 to 19, 2022 in Montreal, to create an artistic action in the image of Lewis Hamilton.
In this context, our artist Art. Rotondo created a unique design retracing the Mercedes driver's career. The work was printed on vinyl and placed on a Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series, the Safety Car model for this F1 season.
From June 10 to 20, the car travelled through iconic Montreal spots for photo and video shoots, before finishing on the Canadian circuit track. For each photo shoot, we collaborated with internationally renowned ballet dancers, bringing lightness and poetry to every shot.
With the collaboration of Mercedes Montreal, our cars were exhibited in the dealership for 3 days, allowing aficionados of the brand to appreciate the work of art on a rare automobile model. Their presence was also noticed at the official Mercedes evening during the Montreal Grand Prix, where Lewis Hamilton was the surprise guest.
